Research Focus: I work at the interface of philosophy of science, sociology of science, gender theory and science education with a primary interest in understanding the relationship between science and society by focussing on the mediating role of education. For my PhD, I worked to develop a theoretical framework to grasp the issue of fewer women in science and gender bias in scientific knowledge comprehensively. Showing that values are an inevitable part of science, I argued that we can begin to imagine new possibilities in the practice of science if we accord the concept of value its rightful place in scientific practice, scientific discourse, and in science education.
