Research Focus : My research aims to study diverse environments younger than 130 ka years across central and western India and focuses on ecological adaptations from Late Acheulean to microlithic phases. The primary focus is on surveying, systematic documentation of new sites and raw material, mapping and studying later prehistoric sites in the Lower Son Valley in Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh. I am applying various approaches such as lithic analysis, stable isotope studies and absolute dating to understand and compare the diverse timing of environmental change and technological transitions across central and western India. A comparative analysis on the palaeoenvironments of the Lower Son Valley, Uttar Pradesh with selected sites from central and western India will be conducted using stable isotopes. This research aims enhance our knowledge on ecological, behavioural and technological aspects from the Indian Late Acheulean to the Indian early microlithic phases.
