Nilkantha Pal (working with Dr. V. Rajesh) awarded the RSVP Expanding the Field Prize 2024 by the Victorian Periodicals Review for his article “Imagining Childhood in Colonial Bengal: Children’s Periodicals, Readership and Vernacular Publishing, ca. 1880-1920”. His article will appear in the Victorian Periodicals Review in Spring 2025.
Dr. Debdulal Saha awarded a project funded under SPARC, entitled ‘The Effects of Digital Mediation of Urban Labour Markets: Insights from the New Gig Economies in India’

Anubhav Preet Kaur received a Leakey Foundation grant for her PhD research entitled “Understanding the human-animal-environment interface in the Pinjore Formation (2.6-0.7 million years) of the Chandigarh Siwalik Frontal Range of northern India”

Dr. Parth Chauhan was approached and has accepted to serve on the panel of grant proposal reviewers for The Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research (USA) for 2 years (2021-23).
Anubhav Preet Kaur, PhD research scholar working under the guidance of Dr. Parth Chauhan in Paleoanthropology-Archaeology Lab is awarded a Sepkoski Paleontology grant for fieldwork to understand the taxonomic diversity and biochronology of Plio-Pleistocene vertebrate fossils in the Siwalik Hills.
