Research Focus: My research centres around the fictional works of Urdu-speaking Muslim women in the late colonial period. It seeks to understand how women subjectively experienced and articulated the private sphere. My research aims to uncover the nuances and complexities of the private realm through the lens of feminist consciousness and standpoint theory. Thus acknowledging the multiplicity of the private sphere and how it intersects with women’s lives.
