Research Focus: My research focuses on the intersections between environmental history and animal history within the colonial context, especially on the progress of human-non-human animal relationship over time.The question of human-non-human animal interactions is what particularly interests me. I am intending to probe the said question of intimate-conflictual relationships spawned by colonial wildlife management-husbandry interventions and the way they affected pre-existing relations in the case of the regional kingdom of Travancore in the 19th and the 20th centuries.
