A vibrant, scientific and creative community — hostels, labs, clubs & culture.
IISER Mohali is more than a campus — it’s an ecosystem. 24×7 laboratories, collaborative research culture, lively hostels, abundant green spaces, sports facilities, and a rich spectrum of clubs and festivals make student life energetic and memorable. This page collects quick guides, resources, and interactive pointers to help students navigate campus life.
Quick descriptions of the major parts of campus life.
Hostels house the community — wings, study groups, and late-night project sessions. Warden & mess contacts are essential; keep emergency numbers saved. Wing culture and events happen throughout the year.
We have student run mess - which serves delicious and nutritious food all over the year at affordable prices. Additionally we have 2 restaurants, 2 canteens, 1 tendered mess, and 1 eatery shop, which are monitored by food monitoring committee. The Food Monitoring Committee evaluates quality — raise issues through SRC forms or the mess committee. Late-night eateries (SRM) and kiosks are available for snacks.
Open-lab culture, research projects across disciplines, and frequent seminars. Respect lab SOPs and safety rules. Faculty and senior students are great mentors for projects.
Modern library with study cabins and digital resources. Reserve rooms for group study and use inter-library services for hard-to-find texts.
Football ground, cricket nets, badminton courts, and running tracks. Join the sports clubs for coaching and events.
Fests, jam sessions, late-night discussions, astronomy nights, and arts performances make the campus lively — participate!
