Application for the post of a Project Assistant (PA) in a research project funded by the SERB, India
Title: Epigenetic mechanisms underlying metabolic memory of diabetic state in vascular smooth muscle cells
This project aims to decipher the functional role of epigenetic regulators such as lncRNAs in regulating the diabetic metabolic memory in VSMCs. The project would utilise primary cell culture, molecular biology techniques and computational biology approaches to understand the vascular biology.
The selected candidate is expected to either focus on molecular biology or computational analysis initially, depending upon interests, and eventually explore the other aspect.

Positions: One
Duration: One year and extendable upon evaluation.
Emoluments (year wise):
For PA: INR 20000 + HRA (As per project norms)
Essential Qualifications:
The applicants should Masters in any branch of Life Sciences with good academic record hold or 4 yr-engineering degree in any discipline. Candidate with any national level fellowship shall be preferred.
It is essential that the candidate has experience/strong interest in state-of-the art molecular biology techniques and/or computational biology approaches.
