BS-MS Programme
The admission to the BS-MS dual degree is done centrally for all IISERs. Details are available at www.iiseradmission.in.

Note: Details for NBHM PhD Scholarship Exam which is mandatory for admission to IISER Mohali PhD program can be found on the official website of NBHM.
Minimum Eligibility
Masters degree or a BTech degree with a good academic record (at least a high second class).
How to apply?
- Candidates must appear in NBHM PhD Scholarship Exam conducted by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (see https://www.imsc.res.in/~nbhm/).
- While applying through online admission portal of IISER Mohali, candidates must mention their NBHM PhD Scholarship written exam Hall Ticket Number. IISER Mohali usually starts accepting applications in the mid of February every year.
Selection
- Based on the performance in NBHM PhD Scholarship written exam some candidates may be invited for an interview at IISER Mohali.
- Based on the performance in the interview, some of them may be offered admission provided they have qualifications listed in A or B below. Preference will be given to those who fall in Category A.
- Category A: Candidates have a source of funding, e.g. UGC-CSIR (JRF), DST-INSPIRE, NBHM PhD Scholarship, PMRF etc.
- Category B: Candidates have a valid Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) score or UGC-CSIR(LS).
Integrated PhD Programme

Admissions to the Integrated PhD program are carried out once a year. The advertisement for the admissions appears on the institute website during February/March. The applicant should have a Bachelors degree in Science and related areas with a good academic record (at least 60% aggregate or at least CGPI 6.0 on a scale of 10).
