The applicants must have complete a PhD degree from a government recognised university/institute.
Interested applicants who have either a PhD degree or have submitted their PhD thesis can apply for these positions. It is preferred that the candidate has some overlap with the research interests of one or more faculty members at the Institute. This is a rolling advertisement and the applications will be reviewed from time to time. The salary for Postdoctoral Research Associates will be as per the MHRD norms. The post-doc associates are engaged in full-fledged research program in the assigned lab. They generally have the leading role in the research team. Besides with their own work, they also have a supervising role to guide the young PhD. and MS students. Post-docs at IISER-Mohali cherish reasonable intellectual freedom and are mostly free to test their own ideas.
Since IISER-Mohali is a teaching-cum research institute, the post-docs at IISER-Mohali get opportunity to teach the BS-MS and PhD students in various courses. In particular, they have an active role in designing and conducting the lab/field work.
