Online Interview for JRF Position in a Research Project funded by ANRF, Government of India
Applications are invited from Indian citizens for a temporary post of Junior Research Fellowship for the ANRF-ERG sponsored project in the Department of Biological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali.
Number of Positions: 01 Research Fellow
Duration: 1 year (extendable for additional two years)
Essential Qualifications: Masters or BTech degree in Bioinformatics (preferable) or related fields. Applicants should also have qualified one of the following: CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test and/or GATE/JAM/ or equivalent national level exams.
Desired qualifications:
As a part of this project the candidate will be required to help with field work, data generation, analysis of the data generated and preparation of reports. An experience in handing lab animals or small birds will be helpful. An experience with wet lab methods towards NGS data collection, WGS (DNA and RNA extraction, NGS library preparations etc.) and field experience with birds is a plus but not an essential requirement for the position. The candidate is also expected to have some scripting experience (Unix, Python or R)
Emoluments: As per government norms. Candidates underperforming can be terminated at any point with a short notice.
