Walk-in interview for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a research project funded by SERB, Govt of India
Project title - Gut Electromicrobiology: Understanding extracellular electron transfer capabilities of the gut microorganisms and its implications to human health
Number of Positions: 01
Duration: 1 year (extendable to 1 additional year after evaluation and as per the availability of funds)
Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Microbiology with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates should have qualified any national eligibility tests such as CSIR/UGC/DBT-NET and GATE in the relevant discipline.
Desired qualifications: Prior research experience/hands-on training on handling/cultivation of pure microbial cultures (preferably anaerobic), microscopy and molecular biology is desired. Some knowledge and experience in microbial electrochemistry is also desired.
Emoluments: As per DST norms and as sanctioned in the project.
