The DBT funded Bioinformatics centre at IISER-Mohali engages in research and education related to large-scale analysis of genomics and protein data. We aim to build unique identity of center as “Bioinformatics advanced education centre with Data analysis services”. We are developing education tools for easy analyses and understanding of various bioinformatics methods. We will organize regular workshops/boot camps for taining undergraduate/graduate and Phd students along with faculties from colleges and univesities. Towards bioinformatics education, we intend to build a pipeline integrative software for genomic and proteomic analysis, which will useful for basic and advanced learners including clinicians. With this, we hope to boot bioinformatics education in this region. Along with this, centre will also provide need-based services to perform bioinformatics analysis.
