Walk-in Interview for Project Staff position under Vigyan Pratibha Project at IISER Mohali
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, a regional center for Vigyan Pratibha
Project of HBCSE-TIFR Mumbai, will hold a walk-in interview for 01 position of scientific assistant B (SA-B) on August 12, 2024 at 9:00 am. The project staff will be working under the Outreach Cell of IISER Mohali. Recruitment of the project staff will be for the current FY. Further extensions are subject to the performance and availability of funds for the project. Job Description: The candidate is expected to
- assist in the creation and distribution of educational materials under Vigyan Pratibha project.
- assist in the organization of teachers’ training workshops at IISER Mohali, and at other regional centers.
- develop and maintain a professional relationship with the teachers of the workshop.
- visit schools across the region (Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh) in order to help teachers in the implementation of the project at schools.
- develop a network of resource persons for various project activities.
- attend resource generation camps for Vigyan Pratibha at various regional centers.
- have a good knowledge of documentation.
The candidate is also expected to display a strong commitment towards the science and mathematics education and he/she should be ready to travel on short notices.
Minimum Qualification:
M.Sc./M.A. in Science/Mathematics/Education (Science/Maths) with 60% marks
Desirable:
- Keen interest in science outreach activities.
- Experience in teaching/ scientific writing/ content development activities.
- Competence in explaining and communicating school level science and mathematics.
- Familiarity with regional languages along with English.
Salary: INR 35,400/- + HRA
