Recruitment of Project Staff for Vigyan Pratibha Project at IISER Mohali

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, a regional center for Vigyan Pratibha project of HBCSE-TIFR Mumbai, invites applications for following project staff position:

  Name of position: Project Associate

  Number of positions: One

The project staff will be working under the Outreach Cell of IISER Mohali. Recruitment of the project staff will be till March 31, 2024. Further extensions are subject to review and the availability of funds for the project. The selection will be based on shortlisting of applications followed by a personal interview.

I Job Description: The candidate is expected

1. to assist in the creation and distribution of educational materials under Vigyan Pratibha project;
2. to assist in the organization of teachers training workshops at IISER Mohali;
3. to visit schools across the region (Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh) in order to help teachers in the implementation of the project in the schools;
4. to attend resource generation camps for Vigyan Pratibha at various Vigyan Pratibha regional centers/HBCSE Mumbai.

II  Minimum Qualification:

      M.Sc. Mathematics / Physics with 60% marks

  III Desirable:

1. Keen interest in science education and outreach activities.
2. Competence in explaining and communicating school level science and mathematics.
3. Proficiency in Punjabi language (reading, writing and speaking) along with English.

   IV Salary: INR 31,000/- + HRA (A higher salary may be considered for candidates with relevant experience.)
