See the summary below or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.iisermohali.ac.in\/dept\/math\/wp-content\/uploads\/poster.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this poster<\/a>&nbsp;from an earlier year, which however is accurate as of now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;Details for NBHM PhD Scholarship Exam which is&nbsp;<strong>mandatory<\/strong>&nbsp;for admission to IISER Mohali PhD program can be found on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imsc.res.in\/~nbhm\/\">official website of NBHM<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"minimum-eligibility\">Minimum Eligibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Masters degree or a BTech degree with a good academic record (at least a high second class).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-to-apply\">How to apply?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates\u00a0<strong>must<\/strong>\u00a0appear in NBHM PhD Scholarship Exam conducted by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imsc.res.in\/~nbhm\/\">https:\/\/www.imsc.res.in\/~nbhm\/<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While applying through online admission portal of IISER Mohali, candidates must mention their NBHM PhD Scholarship written exam Hall Ticket Number.\u00a0<em>IISER Mohali usually starts accepting applications in the mid of February every year.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"selection\">Selection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Based on the performance in NBHM PhD Scholarship written exam some candidates may be invited for an interview at IISER Mohali.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Based on the performance in the interview, some of them may be offered admission\u00a0<strong>provided<\/strong>\u00a0they have qualifications listed in A\u00a0<em>or<\/em>\u00a0B below.\u00a0<em>Preference will be given to those who fall in Category A.<\/em>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Category A:<\/strong>\u00a0Candidates have a source of funding, e.g. UGC-CSIR (JRF), DST-INSPIRE, NBHM PhD Scholarship, PMRF etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Category B:<\/strong>\u00a0Candidates have a valid Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) score or UGC-CSIR(LS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For 2024 (August) session the official notice has appeared&nbsp;here.
