Jindal Global University<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Manleen Kaur completed a project in The Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Chandigarh on Socio-Economic Status of Elderly in the city of Chandigarh.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Shilpa Dahake defended her thesis titled &#8216;Feral Ecologies of a River: Politics of Infrastructure, Pollution and Water Flows of the Godavari River in Nashik, India&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Nupur Tiwari defended her thesis titled &#8216;Technology, chronology and landscape archaeology of microlithic occurrences in the central Narmada Basin, Madhya Pradesh&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Akash Srinivas defended his thesis titled &#8216;Beyond the Biface: Investigating Variability in the Mode 2 technology of the South Asian Palaeolithic through the holistic analysis of select lithic assemblages&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Jayashree Mazumdar defended her thesis titled &#8216;Investigating diverse factors affecting tool use in monkeys through a study of wild Nicobar long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis umbrosus) in India and captive rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta) in the USA&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Basil Alias defended his thesis titled &#8216;Panchayat Raj Institutions and Tribal Governance in a Non-Scheduled Region: A Study of Edamalakudy Tribal Village in Kerala&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Ankur Parashar defended his thesis titled &#8216;Water Scarcity and the Production of Urban Space in Shimla&#8217;. He joined in postdoctoral position at South Asian University, Delhi.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Vivek Singh defended his PhD thesis titled &#8216;Acheulean landscape and technological adaptations in the central Narmada Valley, Madhya Pradesh (India)&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Manisha Kushwaha defended her PhD thesis titled &#8216;Caste and the City: Intersections of Recent Economic Reforms and Dalit Politics in Lucknow&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Shashi Mehra defended his PhD on the topic &#8216;Late Pleistocene environments across north-central India and implications for hominin adaptations with special reference to the Lower Son Valley, Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Shriya Raina defended her thesis titled &#8216;Dialectics of Intimacy: A Study in Select Graphic Narratives&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Vaibhav Pathak defended his PhD titled &#8216;Literature and Science: A Study of Select Science Plays&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Rashid Ali defended his PhD titled &#8216;Ritual as Communication and Religious Multiplicity: A Comparative Study of Imambada&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Anubhav Preet Kaur defended her PhD titled &#8216;Multidisciplinary perspectives on Early-to-Middle Pleistocene (2.58-0.63 Ma) contexts in the Siwalik Hills and implications for hominin adaptations in northern India&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Amitoj Kaur Chandi defended her PhD titled &#8216;Punjabi Cosmopolis: Interrogating Literary Historiography in Punjabi&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Nidhin Johnny defended his PhD titled &#8216;Wounds Speak: Trauma in the Poetry of Czeslaw Milosz&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Ansad C defended his PhD titled &#8216;Caste, Culture and Communalism: An ethnohistorical study of Araya fisher communities in the coastal Malabar regions of Kerala&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp; Dr. Ravindra Deora defended his PhD titled &#8216;A multidimensional approach in the study of Palaeolithic occurrences in the Thar Desert: Implication of predictive and analytical modelling in site distribution patterns and lithic material variability&#8217;.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Shilpi Rajpal, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department from October 2015 to October 2017 is currently Postdoctoral Fellow in a new interdisciplinary project &#8216;Decolonising Madness&#8217; funded by European Research Council at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Ranjana Saha, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department from May 2018 to April 2020 is currently Postdoctoral Fellow at Manipal Centre for Humanities.<\/li>\r\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Shaheen K.T., Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department 2020-21 is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of History, Kannur University, Kerala.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Dalia Bhattacharjee is currently Assistant Professor at O.P.
